COVID sucks. Another reason I started Somm for the Day was to allow wine fun to happen no matter where you are or who you are with while also supporting amazing retailers! For my planning meetings, there will always be a virtual option and if we meet in person I will follow all COVID regulations and guidelines. For your event, I can help make it virtual if the thought of having anyone in your house makes you uncomfortable because of COVID (or because you have a laundry chair). The events can be built around 1 person or 100 people, in person or virtual; you let me know what you want and I will make it happen (within reason, don't get weird).
Part of that comes from you - do you want to shop local or not? From there, I maintain a list of highly reputable and just incredibly great retailers all across the country that I have worked with personally and/or professionally. This allows me to ensure your experience is top notch and with how many I like to work with, it allows me to help you get exactly what you need.
Once I meet with you, the clock starts ticking! I aim to have all of your suggestions and content pulled together about 10-14 days before your event. This can vary based on the needs of your event but I will keep you posted all along the way. Depending on the package you select, I may meet with you during this time to provide an update and continue the planning process as well. My goal is to ensure you have plenty of time to ask questions, shop, breathe, and have fun the day of the event. NOTE: If you require a timeline shorter than 3 days from meeting, your event will incur an additional fee to allow me to get everything pulled together faster and make sure you can source all of the wine and food in your timeline. This will be discussed in greater detail at the initial consultation. Please note, shorter timeline requirements are not always possible.
